Ginnie Springs, Devil's System - Hill 400 to 1200 feet

So back to Ginnie we went. It was about 14h30 when we got there and it costs $47 for both of us for the day, so this would be an expensive dive. But we wanted a good dive after the Manatee experience, so we decided that it was worth it.

Dive plan to dive the Hill 400 line and possibly make a jump at 1200' towards The Bats
We were kitted up and were ready to dive in no time. The plan was to jump to the Hill 400 line and then follow it passed the big corner to right at about 1000' and on until we saw a passage right at about 1200-1300' that may lead to The Bat. We still didn't know where the Hill 400 line went after the bend. I thought that it would carry on North-East towards Lin's Line and the 1600' marker on the map, and that we would need to jump toward The Bat and the Beetle Tunnel.

Kev was in the lead again for this dive and we were taking our scooters and both stages. Once again we had a great scooter into Devil's. We made the jump to the Hill 400 and then motored along the scenic route to the big right bend at 1000'. At 900' Kev indicated that he was starting to get cold. I had probably been shivering since 10min into the dive, so I acknowledged and we pressed on. We made the bend and saw that someone had laid the jump at the bend into the Double Line. We continued on the Hill 400, now searching for anything that would represent the jump into the Beetle Tunnel. Between 1100' and 1200' I saw a dark tunnel leading off to the right but no jump indicated on the Hill 400 line, and no line that I could see in the tunnel. Kev was getting ahead, so I caught up. We were both shivering already and knew that we had cold minutes decompressing in the Eye, so we turned around at about 1250'.

We're still not sure, but we think from the contours of the tunnel and what Rick told us afterwards, that the Hill 400 actually bends South-East and goes towards The Bat and the Beetle Tunnel and not up North-East towards Lin's Line. But we'll need another dive and dry-suits to confirm. Tomorrow our new DUI dry-suits will hopefully be delivered and that will be the end of diving wet and cold ... Bring on +90min dives!
