We stayed at the Dive Outpost for our whole time at Peacock Springs. Cathy, the owner, was away until our last day, and so it was Tim who looked after us so wonderfully while we were there.
The Dive Outpost is nestled into the forests, just off of the main road leading from the Luraville intersection towards Peacock Springs and O'Brien. As Tim said, it really is an outpost. Squirrels and birds surrounded us, and we saw a huge Pileated Woodpecker which is the size of a crow! The dogs are constantly bringing back wildlife, including possums, squirrels and tortoises. You are surrounded by huge trees and the sounds of the forest. It was very relaxing, and so nice to have a dive shop right on our doorstep with gas fills, a kitchen and an outdoor area for hanging and washing our kit.
